Ed.D. Class of 2020

The Ed.D. in KIN Class of 2020 participated in the in-person doctoral hooding ceremony on May 8th as part UNCG’s commencement. This in-person ceremony was held a year after their official graduation date due to the pandemic.

Following the ceremony, a celebration picnic was held at Price Park. It was great to catch up with the graduates and their families. Several faculty, staff and graduate assistants joined in the fun. There were plenty of smiles and lots of laughter while people ate, talked, and played some cornhole. It was a wonderful day and a great way to finish out a challenging year.

Our Ed.D. in KIN administrative assistant, Nathalie Perez, who did an amazing job with planning this picnic event, said “I am really happy that I was able to be part of this event for the Ed.D. in KIN class of 2020. Due to covid-19, they missed out on so much and this event was long overdue. It was so great to see them celebrating and catching up as a cohort. Even though our program is online, it is amazing to see how connected all the students(graduates) in their cohort are to each other.”
Congratulations again to the graduating Ed.D. in KIN students! We are looking forward to having more safe in-person events in the future.
