The M.S./Ph.D. program is designed for exceptional students who have demonstrated superior ability and a high level of motivation and dedication to research and learning.
This program is expected to span approximately five years. You are expected to meet the requirements of the M.S. degree following the first two years and may elect to complete six hours of integrative/research-related activity to receive this degree should you choose not to complete the requirements of the Ph.D.
To be eligible for consideration for admittance into the M.S./Ph.D. program, you must complete a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by the enrollment date, have evidence of prior research experience, and have the endorsement of the faculty member you plan to study with at UNCG.
