Plan of Study
Graduates of the AT program earn a Master of Science in Athletic Training (M.S.A.T.) degree. The AT Program is designed to prepare graduates for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (BOC) exam, leading them to a career as a certified athletic trainer.
AT PROGRAM PLAN OF STUDY
The curriculum is an ever-evolving approach to education. Using a variety of teaching and learning techniques, the curriculum emphasizes competence and critical thinking in a real-world environment. Students are encouraged to develop their own clinical philosophy under the structure of evidence-based medicine. Hands-on laboratory sessions are embedded within courses to enhance engagement and information retention. The use of an MSAT-specific laboratory gives students a secure and quiet place to practice, study, and hone their skills.
