- Professional Goal Statement
GRE scores are no longer required. However, you can still submit your scores.
Additional Considerations
In your professional goal statement, please discuss:
- Why you have chosen to pursue the online EdD in Kinesiology at UNCG
- Your interests, experiences and goals related to teaching, leadership and/or advocacy in kinesiology.
- Issues related to professional practice that you would like to pursue
- How this degree program will contribute to long-term professional goals
- Your experiences with or views of online education
- Specific strategies that will help you successfully complete an online doctoral program.
Your Resume/CV should include:
- your education
- certifications/licensures
- professional experiences in kinesiology (e.g., teaching, coaching, exercise instruction, clinical experience)
- professional/scholarly presentations/publications
- service activities
- community engagement
- honors and awards.
- part-time or volunteer work that showcases your preparedness for the degree
REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS AND REQUIRED ORIENTATION
- Applications are reviewed in the spring for fall admission, beginning January 15. Applications received after January 15 will be reviewed until all spots in the cohort are full.
- Completed applications must be received by April 1 to be considered for fall admission.
- If admitted, you are required to attend a three day orientation over the summer to enroll in the program. Orientation dates: June 1-3, 2026
