The Department of Kinesiology is one of eight departments and two programs within the School of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) at UNCG. The shared mission within HHS is to enhance the health and well-being of the people of the state, region, and nation through excellence in teaching, research, and service.

AREAS OF STUDY
Graduate students choose from the following areas of study. Areas of study may be available for multiple degrees.
M.S. IN KINESIOLOGY
There are two options within the Master of Science degree. To be eligible for all of them, applicants must complete a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by the enrollment date.
PH.D. IN KINESIOLOGY
The Ph.D. degree is a research intensive degree that is designed for those who desire to obtain academic positions at the university level.
MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ATHLETIC TRAINING, M.S.A.T.
The mission of the Athletic Training (AT) Program is to integrate evidence-based education and clinical practice to develop ATs capable of advancing the quality of healthcare for athletes and physically active individuals.
DOCTOR OF EDUCATION IN KINESIOLOGY (ONLINE), ED.D.
The Doctor of Education in Kinesiology Online (Ed.D. in KIN) at UNC Greensboro is a cohort-based four-year program. It is designed for practicing professionals who have a minimum of three years of experience in kinesiology or related fields.
COMBINED M.S./PH.D.
The M.S./Ph.D. program is designed for exceptional students who have demonstrated superior ability and a high level of motivation and dedication to research and learning.
