Students, alumni, and faculty members in the Ed.D. program got together and enjoyed a weekend of networking and basketball alongside family and friends! This was our first in-person social since the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the game, attendees tailgated in the Coleman gym where they had a great time enjoying some food, music, and games. Among the attendees were Carl Mattacola, Dean of the School of Health and Human Sciences, and Jennifer Etnier, Department Head of the Kinesiology Program. Students and alumni were able to connect/reconnect with faculty members and other students in the Ed.D. program while played soccer and basketball games to warm-up for the game!

After the tailgate, attendees headed over to the Greensboro Coliseum for the UNCG basketball game. Our UNCG Spartans faced off against the Wofford Terriers in an exciting conference game. Our Ed.D. in KIN family was so animated, they received a feature on the Jumbotron! UNCG came out victorious in a thrilling game resulting in a 97-89 point win in overtime. Overall, our Ed.D. KIN social was a success! We plan on hosting more future events and look forward to meeting our Ed.D. in KIN family!
