Our PAAD2 postdoctoral fellows were proud to attend the 2022 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in San Diego, California. Drs. Travis Anderson, Lexy Ganesh, and Shin Park flew across the country earlier this month to attend the world’s largest meeting dedicated to dementia research. They were able to hear from leaders in the field, network with researchers from around the world, and learn about emerging research, innovative practice techniques, and more by attending poster and podium presentations.

We are proud to publicize that all three were invited to present research related to the PAAD2 study!

Travis Anderson
Dr. Anderson presented on heart rate variability metrics.
Lexy Ganesh
Dr. Ganesh presented on brain cortex thickness and learning outcomes.
Shin Park
Dr. Park presented on memory and executive function.

The conference was a wonderful experience for our postdocs! There were over 10,000 attendees including researchers, clinicians, doctors, students, and more. Dr. Park reports, “Exposure to knowledge from the world’s greatest scientists was like riding a thrilling wave.” In addition to presenting their own work, Drs. Anderson, Ganesh, and Park had the opportunity to attend workshops, listen to speakers, attend focus groups, and network with other researchers.

But, the conference wasn’t all work. They made time for some fun by participating in the AAIC 5K. Plus, check out this cappuccino with our study logo printed on it. How do we get one of these into our cognitive testing room?
