The Alzheimer’s Association, formed in 1980, is leading the way to ending Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and dementia by providing practical tools and resources backed by research to minimize risk and increase quality care to the public. The Alzheimer’s Association is considered a non-profit volunteer health organization and is currently the largest non-profit funder of Alzheimer’s disease research.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is a well-known fundraising event hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association. Events are held once a year in over 600 communities. You can walk with the PAAD2 Team this October at the Guilford County Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) is the world’s largest forum for the Alzheimer’s and dementia research community and the PAAD2 Team was there to experience the action! The Alzheimer’s Association hosts this conference once a year and the most recent conference took place earlier this month in San Diego, CA. Three members of the PAAD2 Team were in attendance! Our next two articles will showcase our team’s trip to the 2022 AAIC and highlights from the 2022 AAIC.
