  • Study Title: Physical Activity & Alzheimer’s Disease 2 (PAAD2)

    • Eligibility: generally healthy, age 40-65, have a family history of Alzheimer’s disease, and are not regularly physically active

  • Study Title: TBI Assessment of Readiness using a Gait Evaluation Test (TARGET): Development of a Portable mTBI Screening Device

    • Eligibility: Suffered a concussion within the past 6 months, healthy adults 18-50 years old, moderately active non-smoker with BMI < 33, normal or corrected to normal vision, no surgery within the past 6 months, not require a prosthetic or assistive device, and not currently pregnant

  • Study Title: Training Functional Mobility Using a Dynamic Virtual Reality Obstacle Course

    • Eligibility: 18-35 or over 60 years old, able to walk for 15 minutes without an assistive device, normal or corrected to normal vision, not currently pregnant, no musculoskeletal, cognitive, or vestibular disorders, no current bone or soft tissue injuries, and a Body Mass Index < 30.

  • Study Title: Understanding the effects of exercise on mentally challenging tasks

    • Eligibility: To participate, you must be between the ages of 65-80, right-handed, and free of any heart, lung or metabolic diseases (e.g. heart disease, asthma/COPD, diabetes). Participation will take place on 3 separate days (spaced about a week apart) and include monitoring of your heart rate at rest and during exercise, moderate intensity exercise and rest on a stationary bike, blood draws and completion of mentally challenging tasks in our lab and in the fMRI scanner.

  • Study Title: Exercise intensity effects on brain function and academic achievement in children

    • Eligibility: 9-12 years old, English speaking, right handed, no serious medical conditions, must be able to run and do exercise

  • Study Title: Comparison of high-intensity interval training exercise modalities on brain function (EEG) and cognition

    • Eligibility: We are recruiting healthy adult males and females ages 18-30 years old, able to run and do different types of exercise, English speaking, and no serious medical conditions

  • Study Title: The effects of exercise on memory in older adults

    • Eligibility: 50-70 years old, regularly active (>=90 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous intensity exercise per week), willing to participate in testing for 3 in-person visits followed by 3 follow-up telephone calls 24 hours later and refrain from exercise during this time

  • Study Title: The biological effect of different progestins on anterior knee laxity in females

    • Eligibility: Female, 18-30 years of age, moderately physically active (1.5-10 hours of physical activity per week), use combination oral contraceptive, non-smoker, have at least one healthy knee, have no prior history of knee ligament injury or surgery in either limb, and no history of pregnancy or current plans to become pregnant

  • Study Title: Attention and Motor Learning in an Aiming Task

    • Eligibility: Individuals older than 18 years old and younger than 50 years old, who are free from injuries/pain in the arms, hands, and fingers and have never participated in a similar study.
